3 1/2" x 5 1/4" advertising card for Henry L. Latey Fine Confectionery. Pictured on the front is a litho of the Main Exposition Building from an exposition, possibly the one in Chicago and on the back Latey tells that his business has moved to the Creighton Block, next to the Post Office. Latey manufactured candies, cakes,etc. and also had an ice cream parlor. The note on the back of the card reads, "I would respectfully announce that I have removed my Confectionery Business to Creighton Block, Next to the Post Office, Where I shall endeavor to keep the best assortment of Confectionery ever shown in this city. I manufacture Candies, Fine Cakes, Ice Cream, (from pure Cream) every variety of Water and Fruit Ices, all of the very best quality. Cake Ornamenting, and all kinds of party work a specialty. A full assortment of fresh Fruit, Nuts, &c., constantly on hand. My elegant Ice Cream Parlor will be open from 7 A.M. to 10 P.M. I will endeavor to give entire satisfaction at reasonable prices. Hoping to receive a share of your esteemed patronage. Respectfully, Henry L. Latey." |
