1. 8 x10 photo of Charles Ross and unidentified person at Ross’ Grocery. Information on the reverse dates it at 1928, and locates it at 60th and Military. The correct location would be 6070 Military, in the building just east ofthe I.O.O.F. building (at 61st and Maple.) 2. Part of a series from the Benson Sun, featuring Ross’ Kash Grocery at 6070 Military in the early 1930’s. 3. 8 x 10 photo of Ross’ IGA Grocery, now located at the southwest corner of 62nd & Maple. The photo is dated 1951. On the reverse is a small snapshot looking southwest at Ross’ and the Post Building. In the distance, Rouse’s Grocery has been replaced by the Benson Post Office. Also on the reverse is a snapshot dated 1959 of Charles Ross and apparently a promotional visit from “Mr. Clean” to advertize the cleaning solution. 4. 8 x 9 photo of Sylvia Ross and the produce counter, dated December 1968 on the reverse. 5. Advertising clipping for Ross’, showing the original storefront, the next remodeling and proposed remodeling. Also a November 1959 newspaper article featuring Sylvia Ross and a “cranberry scare” just before Thanksgiving. 6. 1953 World Herald promotional material of Sylvia Ross. Reverse: Benson Sun photo about chest X-ray program Nov. 1961 7. Another photo and story about the X-ray program and prizes for participation.
